LEAD Organizes HACCP Training

LEAD organized a HACCP training for Haitian enterprises in the Cap-Haitian development corridor October 1st and 2nd. HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points) is a system that emphasizes the preventive approach to food safety. This HACCP training will address biological, chemical and physical hazards in the production process that could cause the food product to be unsafe. The training will help entrepreneurs in the region understand the risks inherent in their production processes, and design methods to minimize the risks. This training is part of LEAD’s ongoing efforts to provide technical assistance and build the capacity of Haitian companies to improve their operations
